Jazzanova is many things to many different people. For more than fifteen years the eclectic collective from Berlin has been busy producing, composing, arranging…, remixing, DJing and generally shaping our musical world – in the clubs, on the air, in the studio, live on stage, and with their label Sonar Kollektiv. Their “very fertile musical world” (Time Out New York), which does “light a musical tinderbox” (The Face, UK), is “one of the best fusions of all the disparate elements of club music, yet” (Straight No Chaser) and “has dominated the jazz-dance and down-tempo scenes for the past few years, both with its own label and with countless remixes” (Phoenix New Times).

DJ FOOD (UK, Ninja Tune – Audiovisual set)

DJ Food is an electronic music project currently headed by Kevin Foakes, aka Strictly Kev. Originally conceived by the members of Coldcut on the Ninja Tune independent record label, the project started in 1990 on the premise of providing metaphorical “food for DJs”. DJ Food released the Jazz Brakes series, with Jazz Brakes Volume 3 being the most successful. The records consisted of collections of breaks, loops and samples, that could be used for mixing, remixing and producing.

The later DJ Food albums have developed with shades of Latin, dub, techno, ambient, and Jungle

MVMNT (BE – Vice City)

What began as a little bit of experimenting in Ableton Live, has become the main passion of Pieter Vochten, MVMNT. A passion of sharing any musical ideas ranging from experimental beats to 909 overloaded housetracks.

As a dj, his aim is to present people with a timeless selection of his favourite disco, deep house, techno and «younameit» tracks, preferably from warm, oldskool vinyl.
All time classics go along with recent discoveries without being too specific about styles or release dates – as long as they make the magic happen and “Keep The Fire Burning.”
