BJARKI (трип) Reykjavik
NIKITA ZABELIN (трип) Moscow
EJECA (b pitch control, aus) Belfast
LAURENS (ampere, feiern) Antwerp

BJARKI
Bjarki is from Iceland. Born and raised. Despite the fact that Bjarki is known for making extremely powerful dancefloor tracks he doesn’t seem to belong to any particular genre. Something his forthcoming triptych of LPs “Б | Lefhanded Fuqs | Æ” demonstrate very well. His music is at times cinematic and there’s a story behind each track. Bjarki’s music always has something to do with him personally, but he’d rather the listener lose themselves in the music than pay much attention to the man behind them. Either on a record or to one of his ever evolving live sets.

NIKITA ZABELIN
Whenever one talks about contemporary techno, it’s no longer sufficient to make canonical references to Detroit or Berlin. Nowadays techno has become a burgeoning network that constantly changes form and function independent of any single location. Global centers of nightclub culture have recognized this decentered, networked pattern of influences – together with the fidelity of modern techno fans. One of the forwards on an unfolding map of Russia is Nikita Zabelin, a young producer and sound designer, who is one of the first artists of Nina Kraviz’s трип label, resident of the most famous russian club ARMA17 and hosts his own radio show Resonance on Megapolis FM that is responsible to open new Russian electronic scene. Watch Nikita’s Boiler Room episode to find out his skills and mood. Nikita Zabelin was in line ups of Concrete, Tresor, Bassiani, etc. and was a resident of Monasterio club Moscow in a moment of its uprising.

EJECA
Growing up in Northern Ireland’s capital, Belfast, has instilled in the man known as EJECA a down-to-earth attitude. Music first hype later.

A teenage fascination with production culminated in early releases such as the limited edition, vinyl-only Tusk Wax Five EP, and his work with fellow Northern Irish, Bicep on AUS. It took 12 long years of hard work, but his big break finally came when two of his tracks were named ‘Essential Tune of the Week’ on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Now firmly established as a reputable purveyor of high quality house and techno, EJECA has now successfully established his label Exploris with eight releases last year showcasing underground music that inspires as well as his own work. Recently he has had releases on BPitch Control, Poker Flat and Last Night On Earth, varying from from the melodic to driving sides of techno.
