* PAULA TEMPLE

A leader at the forefront of UK techno, known for her uncompromising productions & powerful hybrid live/DJ sets, Berlin-based Paula has made a name for herself in the international club scene as one of techno’s most forward-thinking and exciting producers. Through her critically-acclaimed “Deathvox” and “Colonized” EPs, as well as her recent remixes for The Prodigy – all released via R&S – Paula continues to push boundaries and carve out a place for her unique sound.

* PARIAH

Specialising in dense slabs of heavy, mutating techno tracks for the dancefloor, Pariah has become one of the leading lights of UK techno’s resurgence. In recent times more commonly seen as part of a duo alongside close friend and fellow R&S alumnus Blawan (as ‘Karenn’), Pariah’s solo DJ sets are a real treat to behold. With an association that stretches back to his debut R&S release back in 2010, we’re excited to welcome him back as part of an incredible lineup.

* ALEX SMOKE (LIVE)

Glasgow-based Alex Smoke is a new breed of electronic music producer, blurring the boundaries between Electronica, Techno, Classical and Hip Hop. Alex Smoke’s music evolves in new directions with every project he undertakes regardless of genre, both on the dancefloor and with his renowned live sets. The debut release of 2016 on R&S belonged to his latest album ‘Love Over Will’; an LP that was greeted with high praise across the board from the likes of Pitchfork and Clash Magazine.

* SYNKRO

Hailing from Manchester, Synkro a.k.a Joe McBride pens elaborate, emotive & intellectual soundscapes, drawing in influences across a spectrum of bass culture and electronica. Having previously released with Exit Records, Brownswood, Styrax, Auxiliary & Med School, as well as remixes for Model 500, Snow Patrol, Lowb & plenty more, Synkro has most recently found a home on R&S sister label Apollo.

* MIXMASTER MORRIS

Many of the most influential and significant acts that have shaped electronic music over the past 30 years have Mixmaster Morris to thank for playing a significant role in their early careers. He has consistently championed artists who have gone on to achieve greatness, long before anyone else had heard of them. Known as “The Godfather of Chillout”, his repertoire of ambient records is perfect for an extended set.

* DjRUM

Responsible for a back catalogue of hugely impressive 12″ releases via his own label 2nd Drop, and more recently via The Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape, we’re very excited to be inviting DjRUM to join us for this special party; his first ever appearance at an R&S event.

* RENAAT

As founder of R&S and Apollo, Renaat doesn’t need an introduction. The endless array of groundbreaking, seminal releases from the 1980s to the present day – from the likes of Aphex Twin, Joey Beltram, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, James Blake, Nicolas Jaar and more – surely explain all you need to know.

* AMyn (LIVE)

AMyn emerges as part of a strong streak of new European producers. His deep interest in sound design combined with a love for melancholy makes his tunes a unique and memorable combination. Always developing his sound, his only goal is to evoke an emotion or feeling for the listener by telling his story through the music. We’re happy to be welcoming AMyn into the Apollo Records family.

R&S RECORDS

Without a doubt one of the finest and most critically-acclaimed record labels in Europe, the history of R&S stretches back to the early 1980s. Groundbreaking early releases from the likes of Aphex Twin, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Joey Beltram and many more laid the foundations for the label’s consistently stellar global reputation as a purveyor of cutting-edge techno.

Fast-forward to today and the label’s legacy remains as strong as ever. Even despite a prolonged hiatus in the early 2000s, R&S has since repositioned itself as a more eclectic, yet equally forward-thinking outlet for some of the world’s most celebrated contemporary musicians such as James Blake, Nicolas Jaar and Nils Frahm (via his ‘Nonkeen’ project), while simultaneously retaining its original dancefloor aesthetic through uncompromising releases from the likes of Paula Temple, Blawan and Lakker, to name but a few.
