DVS1
Immersed in the heydays of the ’90s Midwest rave scene, DVS1 has gained a highly-respected reputation for his versatile skills, infectious energy and physical power behind the decks. As a resident DJ of Berlin’s infamous Berghain / Panorama Bar, he moves floors of the world’s most prestigious and best venues.
After his first original releases on Klockworks and Transmat, he was not only introduced to a bigger audience, hence creating a strong fellowship for his own imprints: While HUSH showcase DVS1’s love for deep, purist techno and only his music, Mistress Recordings reflects his wide range as a beat and rhythm addict presenting some of his secret weapons that touches all corners of the dance floor and beyond. With a combination of deep musical knowledge, unparalleled enthusiasm, and a vinyl collection of more than 30,000 records, DVS1 is also renowned as an outspoken defender of underground’s true values that established the American DJ, producer and label owner as a truly exceptional character of today’s contemporary electronic music scene.
Marco Shuttle
Marco Shuttle has always achieved a lot with a little, and that is the singular aesthetic that stands him apart. His cinematic techno sounds are unusually organic: they build pressure in subtle ways and his meticulous grooves never fail to take listeners on a trip to somewhere new and exciting. As a result of this, he has become a firm favourite amongst the techno cognoscenti and has released on some of the most revered labels of the day, from famed New York club The Bunker’s new label to Peter Van Hoesen’s untouchable Time To Express via Clone SOS and his regular home, Eerie Records and lately on fellow Italians Dozzy’s and Neel’s new label, Spazio Disponibile
Gabriella Vergilov
One to watch and we know it, Signing a track to the new Fabric CD curated by DVS1 himself, Several releases in Thema and Enemy records. A bright future in gigs, 2018 will shine bright and 2017 is getting a taste of what is yet to come.
One of the most vital things we can do as curators is to give a voice
to those who may have gone unheard. For this reason we believe
in keeping things on the up and coming, and this debut EP is no exception. Simmering to the top of the talent pool that is the Berlin underground comes Gabriella Vergilov, a Bulgarian DJ and producer with a propensity for dense, psychedelic Detroit-to-Chicago style house. Her style is fluid and translucent, with layers of syrup-laced vocals and undulating bass. Take for instance the floor-enchanting “Off Beat Fight”, which gathers an assortment of after party flavors and hurdles them down the strangest, most seductive hallways of
the mind. It’s tracks like this as well the meditative experimentalism
of “Filedium”, and the Fear and Loathing-esque purity of “Vegas On Acid” that perked our ears to the distinct qualities of Gabriella’s sound. Considering she has managed to reach these heights on her first EP, we can only imagine what she has in store for us in the future.
